Allan Josephson, MD, serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the Bingham Child Guidance Center, Professor and Associate Chair for Child and Adolescent Programs, and Division Director of Child, Adolescent and Family Psychiatry at University of Louisville School of Medicine. He is a prolific writer in his professional discipline and has taught and spoken to many national organizations, schools, community agencies, churches, and media on subjects related to child, adolescent and family mental health, religion, and spirituality. Dr. Josephson and his wife, Jeri, have three children, Sarah, Matthew, and Rachel. This Friday, October 2, is the deadline for making reservations for the Oates Institute's 2009 Annual Forum and Oates Award Dinner. Allan Josephson, MD, the 2009 Oates Award recipient, will speak on Clinical Truth and Spiritual Truth: Are They the Same? In addition to hearing from and honoring Dr. Josephson, this annual forum is an opportunity to connect and converse with professional and lay caregivers in pastoral care, counseling, medicine, nursing, social work, and various faith communities. This event is on Thursday, October 8, beginning at 6 p.m., at Broadway Baptist Church in Louisville, Kentucky, and reservations are required to attend.
