New Feature in the Oates Journal Brings Exciting Content to Readers PDF Print E-mail
Thursday, 06 November 2008 11:51

The addition of "Columnists" in the renewed publication of the Oates Journal has introduced an exciting new source of information for readers of the Journal. Our ambition in renewing publication of the Journal is to share new information, to acquaint you with new voices, and to stimulate interaction and collegial dialogue around the care of individuals and families; body, mind, and spirit. Columnists for the Oates Journal share words of wisdom and reflection they have gathered through their years of study and practical experience.

Since October 1 and the introduction of this new feature, the Oates Journal has included columns addressing the counseling of older couples, managing congregational conflict, 21st century congregational leadership, contemporary fiction and spirituality, and the clinical use of scripture.

Contributors include Wade Rowatt (Pastoral Counselor), Roy Woodruff (Former Director of the American Association of Pastoral Counselors), Jan Waples (Chaplain), David Sawyer (Seminary Professor), D. Leslie Hollon (Pastor), Mary Fraser (Pastoral Counselor), Anne Ogden (Writer), and Mary Ellen Yates (Marriage and Family Therapist). To read their columns in the Oates Journal, just click on Oates Journal in the menu across the top of the page. Once in the Oates Journal, you will find a listing of the latest columns posted on the right-hand side of the page.
